Appointments

The Scheduler allows you to track appointments through many stages during their lifecycle, from creation/scheduling until the appointment’s conclusion.

As the Scheduler can be configured to suit your specific needs, the workflow for appointments can vary greatly between institutions, and even between clinics at your institution.

Example workflow: An appointment may be planned by a provider, then scheduled (made active) by a clerk, then checked-in when the patient arrives, and finally checked out when the patient leaves.

Appointments may be configured to display a large amount of information including:

• Patient, provider(s), and treatments performed

• Date/time, location (clinic and chair), and length of appointment

• Recall information, and patient and medical alerts

• Appointment status and appointment indicators (which can be configured to display any type of information)

Additionally, working with appointments can trigger several events such as start checks and dispensary and chart requests.
